Project 365

I finally jumped on the bandwagon (or is it jumping off?) for Project 365. My husband bought me the D3000 b/c he's well aware of how much of a camera whore I am and he couldn't wait to give it to me on Xmas, so he gave it to me practically a month early :D

I do wish I had it for my civil and religious weddings and my uncle's wedding (I was his only photog) :( Oh well, for Xmas I created a photobook for him via Shutterfly.com. As always, I run on tangents and I did not make a resolution to cut them out, so you're out of luck !

Back to the point, I missed a few days of the project, but that won't stop me from here on out! You can check out my Project 365 set here

Here are a couple of the shots I've uploaded (I still have a few more to upload, I'll handle that tomorrow...it's 1:30 am and I need to be at work in 7 hours...)

Yummy Arugula Salad from Cafe Milano in Georgetown DC (Did I mention Gabrielle Union walked in and I didn't take a pic when she was a few feet away from me?! I'll go into more detail when I post all my pics)

Here's one of the pics I took while Laura went to the little girls room (Chi Cha Lounge for hookah and latin cuisine in DC) Here I am for my mother in laws bday dinner @ La Canela in Rockville, MD on January 1st.

That's all I have time for now, I've been clearing out my google reader (like 5000 unread items...). I was forced to click "Read All" on tons of links, so if I didn't comment on your blog, I'm so sorry, I LOVE to comment on people's blogs so they know I was there and read it!). I'm down to approximately 500 unread posts, better than the 5000+. I will respond to all my comments tomorrow if I get a chance, I got a promotion, yay me, and it's been the biggest challenge I've ever faced, and I've done a lot of different types of work, one of which was Store Manager for an electronics store, I know, little ol me, go figure!

Congrats on your promotion hun! Your photog skills are greeeeaaaatt!! I find myself trying to do most of my blog updates at 1 in the morning too! Coming home from work, picking the little one up from school and getting dinner...I'm usually pooped by the time the sun goes down!

Congratulations on your promotion! That's so exciting! I'm sure you're exhausted from learning the ins and outs of your new position; new jobs are always tiring.

Your pictures look awesome! I love the one of the lipstick on the mirror! You make the product pictures on my blog look lame! Ha ha ha! I can't wait to see more!

xoxo

P. S. I have the what looks like the same Movado watch as you! The battery is dead in mine though, so I've been wearing a different one. :(

Congrats on your promotion! I've wanted a good camera for SO long. Especially for when I take FOTD pictures. I think I always look cartoony so I never end up posting my pictures. :( The quality of your pictures are amazing! I'd love to do the project 365. I'm such a camera whore too.. that's right up my alley.

Congrats on the promotion! And thanks for the shoutout for my giveaway, too :)

btw, I get those bumps every now and then too...try dermadoctor's KP duty (sephora). I used it religiously just before my wedding and it worked. Now I just use it like once a year when it flares up.

@ Rai - Thank you :)
@ Krasey Beauty - Thank you! :) Don't hesitate in purchasing a DSLR - they're so worth it!
@ Miss P - Thank you so much! Yes, tell me about it, I have no kids, but I have a couple people at home that I take care of (adults...) and I need my blogging time to relax. The promotion has been really hard on me, I just hope I can keep up with the blog posts!
@ Kate Gene - Ooo emee geee! You are too sweet, thank you! And, no, your photos are not lame (I have actually seen lame photos...and you know what I'm talking about)! I love my movado, every time I buy a watch the motor inside dies...for no apparent reason, it's not water damage, so who knows. They would last at least a few days and max a few weeks. In light of all this, my hubby decided to just get me a great watch and not worry about buying another and another and another! My battery died once, it lasted me a few years though, I can't complain (batteries are like $3 at Radioshack...but it's only worth it if you can open it). And yes, the promotion has been exhausting, I'm so glad I'm taking a skiing trip in a couple weeks (3 days) I neeeeeed to get out of here and I'm a workaholic, you'll never hear me say that!
@ xLovelyMakeupx - Thank you, sweetie!
@ Twinn - Thank you, hun! If you want a point and shoot, go for a canon :)
@ Purple Crown Princess Cosmetics - NP!! Thank you!
@ Consuela - You're right, it's a great way to start 2010, esp considering the tons of friends I have with supposedly "dependable" jobs that were laid off. Thank you!!
@ Geeky Mac Boy - Thank you! NP, your blog is quite informative :) (I'll get to the 7 facts as soon as I can this week) :)
@ Gaby - But Thank you! I did take a photog class 9 years ago, I really want to take another class before I go back to school. I also want to take tons of sewing classes to make my own dresses and skirts...moving on. I didn't care that I was breaking the rules, I missed like 7 or 10 days, w/e...lol, so what I'm saying is, jump in! You probably have tons of pics taken in 2010 ;-) Thank you btw! I just hope I'm not demoted to being a client =/
@ Makeup Mama - Great recommendation! I actually own it (ordered it from QVC or HSN...don't remember) Since it was quite costly, I don't use it too often, I also own the cream that came in the bundle...it smells A LOT and it doesn't go into my skin, it just lays a top =/ womp womp. I suppose I should actually use it and stop being cheap, haha. Thanks!! NP btw ;-)

XOXO
