Surprise Birthday

for me! The hubs can't seem to stop surprising me, I truly had to hold back the tears. I walked into the party two days after my actual birthday expecting to meet up with the hubs' cousins before heading out to dinner with my bro and his family. It was small and intimate, which I loved. I had people that mattered to me (and vice versa). There were a couple friends that couldn't make it and I was so sad to not see them, but life happens, right?! one was expecting a baby, sees life happens! Congrats, E!! 

Enough babbling, I could seriously go on and on and on...for example, I'm testing out new contacts and they suck! HD my butt...(purevision2) and I'm afraid nothing will really work for me, contacts aren't made in my prescription. When you get to a certain level of nearsightedness, they stop making the prescriptions in quarters (.25) so I'm wearing a -10 on my right eye versus the -9.75 I need and -9.5 I've been wearing previously. Glasses are much higher than -10, but they can make those stronger and more precisely than contacts. I h.a.t.e. glasses, been wearing them since 2nd grade and before I was diagnosed nearsighted, I was failed from 2nd grade (the first year) b/c I couldn't read...they thought I was unable to learn until I was given a mandatory eye exam my second year of 2nd grade and the nurse was astounded I was able to function at all 0_0. Ugh -- see, I can babble...smh (did I mention I was placed in ESOL too and my only language was English...I didn't learn Spanish until I was 14 years old!)

So here are the (few) shots of the amazing get together my hubs and ah-mazing and supportive friend, Rachel (not to mention so incredibly gorgeous and fashionable) planned for me!

I can't forget about my brother and his wife that took me out this day and kept this a secret so well! Thanks for the shopping spree at Sephora, those are always welcome ;-)

{and no the 3 candles don't mean I turned 30, haha, seriously though, I'm not 30!}

Queen of Random!

Due to the Project 365 that I'm doing, I'm doing my best to take meaningful shots every day (sometimes I don't find one! That's where I need to improve, lol). Here you'll find some shots I deem semi worthy of posting!

If it's Sunday I want to catch up with sleep but I also want to go to Service, so what do I do? I wake up with barely enough time to shower and leave for the 11 am service. Here's how you'll typically find me if you go to church with me, it's an uber simple look!

I was simply wearing liquid eyeliner and MAC e/s in Green-Smoke (Lustre)...funny story about this e/s, I never meant to buy this, my MAC MUA accidentally put it on my tab and put it in my bag =/ I'm positive somebody else was buying it and my rep took it, lol. I  didn't notice until I got home, I was like, hugh, where'd this come from, as it turns out it's not so bad, let's see if I'll keep it. Goes to show how often I read my receipts before signing at MAC...I look at all of my receipts everywhere I go, but at MAC I never do! Anyone else do that at a specific store?

G & I had his nephew's bday to attend @ the Germantown Indoor Swin Center, which is SICK, I need to go back since I missed the actual pool party and only made it to eat =/ (we were at the mother in law's house helping around, hence why we were late).

I had a makeover done a couple days after the Liberty of London release and here's what the MUA came up with!

She tried her best to convince me an eyebrow pencil would work best for me, I beg to differ, unless YOU all think the eyebrows look good. Maybe my issue is I'm not used to seeing them filled in so maybe everything looks bad to me =/

So my bestie turned 27 and we celebrated by going to a bar called Union Jacks (funny thing is I work and live so close to it and never went!) here are the shots!

As you can see in the collage, a bouncer started shutting the glass doors closed, people boooo'd him and he reopened it :)

You'll also see a chick trying to copy his show, EPIC FAIL! No one cared for her, she couldn't imitate Michael Jackson if her life depended on it!

She actually went up to dance on the speaker!!! I don't recall doing this very often!!

Hubby's Bday!!

Hey everyone! I'm at home watching the Vampire Diaries and hoping I can make this blog coherent =/

Last Friday, September 4th, George and I celebrated his 32nd birthday! The day started with him having the day off, I get home from work and we get ready for PF Changs, yippy!

George's mom did the honors and took a photo for us before we ran out!

George was quite happy with his gifts (gift bag in the background) :o)
His gift bag included a Crew 3 piece gift set (styling pomade, massage oil, hair gel), Ralph Lauren full size Polo Sport cologne with deodorant, and a grooming set for the times he wants to grow out a beard.

We made it :o)

We arrived and we were lucky enough to get a big booth (my favorite section, yay!)
Sadly I forgot to take pics of the amazing food, I was soooo hungry as was he. We had Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Wonton Soup, Crispy Honey Chicken and Dan Dan Noodles, yumm.

Forgive the bags, I haven't been sleeping well these days :(

We ran out of the restaurant to catch GameStop before they closed! We made it (I literally ran in as they were vacuuming and asked for a PS3, lol)! He is a new owner of a PS3! We're so glad we waited for the price to drop, hehe. Also picked up a game and wireless controller for him (remote free if you pick up the 80GB older version vs the new 120GB version, YAY). We all know what he'll be doing these days aside from focusing on the new football season, haha.
