Bronze me up!

As I was strolling through my TJ Maxx (next door to my sucky dollar tree, haha) I eyed a Lancome eyehadow quad, since this specific TJ Maxx seals everything in locked plastic cases I didn't know exactly what colors I would get, whateverr, I picked it up up anyhow, since it was $13, I couldn't turn it away! So take a look at the palette, it's quite gorgeous!

I've used this palette at least 3 times now and I truly love it, it's very smooth but very slightly chalky, as long as you use a good base, it'll do you just fine!

Sadly it was the only palette in the store and it was my first and, so far, my last time to see a Lancome palette at TJ Maxx.

Totally off topic, I had my nephew over on Saturday and boy oh boy, he sure can be a handful. I remember G telling Jr to say "Tia, cookie" over and over and over, G knows I am very strict about what I feed children and he knows I wouldn't give Jr cookies late night. So, Tia Janine gave in and gave him not one cookie, but three since he asked with his cute eyes and sweet little voice. Here we are!

Potential new loves

As I was strolling in my really sucky dollar tree, I found a huge section 98% empty, what was in that section? Face wash cloths to remove makeup for $1!! This is the first time I've seen them at my dollar tree and I am hoping they bring them back due to the obvious sell out (as long as they work and don't dry out my skin)!

Since Big Lots is a bit out of my way, I haven't been able to pick up more of the Epielle Makeup Remover Cloths (that I adore) in over a month and those cloths have seriously spoiled me, my night feels incomplete without them. Did I mention Epielle costs $1 @ Big Lots?! I had bought tons of them and gave most away.

Moving on to the next item I can't wait to try (but I haven't washed yet, so I can't use it) is Sonia Kashuk's Flat Top Multipurpose Synthetic Brush. I'm planning on using this brush for liquid foundation & blush! Did I mention I think the brush is HOT?! It's only $15 at Target!!

I love how dense this brush is and how perfectly soft it is (not overly soft).

Anyone else love Sonia Kashuk's makeup brushes or have some affordable makeup remover cloths to recommend?

Sigma Premium Kit Initial Review/Haul

Since I do love the majority of my brushes included in the Sigma Professional Kit (pics to come soon) I jumped at purchasing the Premium Kit from SigmaMakeup.com. I received the kit quite some time ago but I haven't had a chance to wash them yet, hence I haven't used them yet, I am quite excited to use them though!

First impression: smelly (as with every kit I've ordered) ** one of the brushes came with glue on 20% of the bristles (I will email Sigma for a replacement, I seriously wonder how that's going to go...considering the owners immature response to this video, go to the very end of the video for the screen shot) pic is below ** shipping&handling prices is a tad bit too high for my liking ** well packaged, all arrived in perfect order (shoot, it better considering the price of shipping&handling) ** plenty of variety, not many lines carry the amount of brushes as Sigma does ** they don't currently sell all of their brushes individually (which is quite disappointing), however, recently they've showed up on the All Cosmetic Wholesale website individually

This is the brush that has glue on it!! What happened to quality control?! It's very stiff (I thought it was an actual piece of plastic, that's how hard it is) and I will not try to wash it out b/c apparently you can't return a used item, I won't take that risk.

Apparently these are made/assembled in China (P.R.C. is printed on the plastic wrappings for each brush). I was under the impression these were assembled/made in the U.S.A. (since it's imprinted on each brush), quite confusing in my honest opinion. They are however distributed in the U.S.A.

Here's the lip brush SS316 uncapped -- You'll see there's already some paint chipping off on the right of the brush number...I wonder how this will look after using it. One concern, the fibers are synthetic, not sure how that will work as a lip brush.

So there you go ladies, has anyone else picked up this set? What are your thoughts? I hope to write a full review after putting this set to use!

Queen of Random!

Due to the Project 365 that I'm doing, I'm doing my best to take meaningful shots every day (sometimes I don't find one! That's where I need to improve, lol). Here you'll find some shots I deem semi worthy of posting!

If it's Sunday I want to catch up with sleep but I also want to go to Service, so what do I do? I wake up with barely enough time to shower and leave for the 11 am service. Here's how you'll typically find me if you go to church with me, it's an uber simple look!

I was simply wearing liquid eyeliner and MAC e/s in Green-Smoke (Lustre)...funny story about this e/s, I never meant to buy this, my MAC MUA accidentally put it on my tab and put it in my bag =/ I'm positive somebody else was buying it and my rep took it, lol. I  didn't notice until I got home, I was like, hugh, where'd this come from, as it turns out it's not so bad, let's see if I'll keep it. Goes to show how often I read my receipts before signing at MAC...I look at all of my receipts everywhere I go, but at MAC I never do! Anyone else do that at a specific store?

G & I had his nephew's bday to attend @ the Germantown Indoor Swin Center, which is SICK, I need to go back since I missed the actual pool party and only made it to eat =/ (we were at the mother in law's house helping around, hence why we were late).

I had a makeover done a couple days after the Liberty of London release and here's what the MUA came up with!

She tried her best to convince me an eyebrow pencil would work best for me, I beg to differ, unless YOU all think the eyebrows look good. Maybe my issue is I'm not used to seeing them filled in so maybe everything looks bad to me =/
