Depotting my MAC Angel

I got the idea from K. Lo (http://www.katrinalomidze.com/2009/11/how-to-jar-your-lipstick.html)

I was so sad the day I lost my MAC Angel, I was even sadder the day I reordered it and broke it 2 days later :( I had almost given up until I came across Katrina's blog post!

First here are the supplies you'll need:
1) Lippie
2) Pot (I got mines from MAC, I asked a MAC MUA for one and she handed it over graciously (of course after I made a large purchase from her, lol)
3) Tool to scoop out the goods from the bottom.
4) Tool to cut off the lipstick from top (I used the same tool for both purposes)
5) Microwave

Here are the materials =)

Cut off the top and then scoop the rest out

Throw in microwave for 1 minute

I let it cool on it's own.
Ta-da!!! Saved lippie :) Anyone else do this before?

Looks neat. I've never done this before.

And to answer your question, the brush set is fab! It's pretty good for the price. And I like the dual fiber brush. I used it to apply my blush and it works wonderfully.

Oh wow, i've seen this done unsuccessfully because my friends one exploded in the microwave! lmao but it looks like a neat way to get to the bottom of the lipstick without wasting it (=

Btw i'm hosting a competition for all beauty/fashion bloggers, the prize is MAC/NARS/BOBBI BROWN ETC. So come join in! Its good creative fun :)

@Rai, that's what I love about the dual fiber brushes, they're so multi-purpose!! I use them for my liquid foundation mainly :)

@Vanessa Baptista, it exploded!!!! Oh my! (Hope everyone came out unscathed)!!

@Stacy, Thanks!!
