in my last post i cried and moaned about the 103 degree nasty humid weather, it's just nasty, so nasty it's diiiirty. lets take a trip down memory lane, shall we. this photo sesh was done in our car on valentines day, G thinks i've lost my marbles, lol. i kinda miss the snow storms, being locked up in my house for days and days...okay...maybe not that part. but i miss the fact i can warm myself up, in summer, you can't cool yourself down as easily, you can't walk around nekkid, can ya? okay...maybe some people do...but let's not go there

Who has heard Mel Gibson's vulgar and despicable call? he tells the mother of his child she looks like a dog in heat (more vividly) and so much more. is his career over?! the recording makes me wanna barf!

who else has a major heat wave goin on?? luckily i'll be at the pool with one of my favorite couples, chesssss (that's yes in a latin accent...lol). what are your plans, what are you doin to keep cool?

ummm, idk about that just yet, I'm still "young" and if I can't handle my nephew, how bad of a mother will I be?! scary...moving on...I told you all about our new puppy, Rocky aka Rockster aka Monster aka Mr. T aka The Ferocious aka Mr. Button, the list goes on and on.

This little guy is definitely a handful, he gets into these weird moods where he runs back and forth throughout the whole house faster than a fart! He is always asking for human food and still isn't fully potty trained, I must really suck at this, he's 3.5 months old and should be potty trained :( He just doesn't tell me when he needs to go!!! 

10 minutes ago I found him eating one of my urban decay cream eyeshadows, grrr. but i love this little dude, before I get too mushy and people start asking when I'm having kids...here are some pics I never posted from our Easter Dinner :)

On the menu? ceviche ** langostina y papa a la huancaina ** sangria ** pisco sour ** inka kola ** cola champagne (my idea, def not a south american drink) ** i forgot to take a shot of the main course and dessert and to be frank i forgot what it was, but i know they were delish!

p.s. it's hot a BALLS outside, 101 degrees today, 103 degrees yesterday, I want 70 degrees back! there's my rant, haha

3 day weekend and Maxi Dresses

I'm 4'11" and finding clothing that fits me is quite difficult. I consider myself to be quite lucky in finding Maxi Dresses that fit lengthwise. Take a look at a couple dresses F21 dresses that I love! I wear these dresses way too much when running errands, can't really run around the house with them though!

I say "eff it" to many "fashion" rules, I will wear a maxi if I want to!! What do you say? Are there fashion rules you just flat out don't chose to follow?

I consider myself quite lucky to live in the states and I try my best to serve my country in any way I can everyday!

I'm off to the pool with my bro, sis-in-law, nephew and my bff then off to see fireworks in Rockville, MD. Going to DC is just crazy and I do not have the energy to watch them at the National Mall. I'm okay with looking at the pictures instead!

Give me a little piece of Cuba & a Slice of Lime

Let me start off with a tidbit about me. I randomly go through nesting periods and when I do, nothing makes me happier than turning my house upside down and reorganizing it all over again. I decided to do this after a great BBQ/Pool party (mind you my commute to and coming back was 2.5 hours at least). While organizing, I try to hide the high chance I'm a class 2 hoarder (5 being the highest) by purging and purging. 

Anyways, getting back to my Saturday night. I get a call from my cousin-in-law at 11 pm to go out and didn't end up leaving my house until 12:30 am. Did I mention I continued to clean until almost midnight?! That means I got ready in 30 minutes and this shot is totally bleh b/c it was the one and only shot I took until after we left our first stop for the night. The lighting is all off and out of focus :(

can someone tell me why I stick my stomach out in every picture i'm in!!?? i remember why, b/c I like to think i have a butt, lol
btw - this is the only shot taken with my beloved Nikon, the rest were taken by a crappy Fuji point and shoot :(

We checked out Lima Lounge (below) and it was wackkk! Trance on level 1 and 3 and international on level 2. I love trance, but this trance was painful and the international level was so crowded. I do not appreciate walking through a crowd with dry arms and leaving with wet arms, and it's NOT from me, icky icky! We downed our Red Bull and Vodka's and left, but before leaving I wanted to remember my first time there with a picture!

Then we headed off to Habana Village in Adams Morgan, Washington DC. If you've ever been in Adams Morgan, you'll know parking is nonexistent. Police are constantly closing 18th street (which is where the majority of all the bars/lounge's are) and that's precisely what happened to us last night, took 45 minutes to find parking. I've actually gone back home a few times when trying to go to Adams Morgan, yeah, it's that bad. I posted a few pics of Adams Morgan here. 

We arrived and missed the live salsa band, be sure I'll be back to catch them playing live. I can't say no to a live Cuban Salsa band! Took a few shots, enjoy lookin at my cheesy shots!
