NYE - Pic Heavy, don't read unless you're prepared! - OOTN/FOTN

G & I wanted to do something different this year, we've done the clubbing thing and frankly we're just over it, I'm almost 30! I also wasn't looking forward to driving anywhere near DC, the amount of drunkies on the road is unsafe! I was ecstatic the moment I received an invite from Rachel, my awesome buddy (also my weddings MUA!!), for NYE. I couldn't say no to her invite, hadn't seen her since her baby shower (about a whole year!)! 

My issues with NYE prep:

• I got home a little late from work and didn't have much time to get ready, so excuse my application sloppiness.
• I didn't get a chance to pull in the dress at the bust line so you'll find it doesn't look quite right.
• I should've worn nude pantyhose, the dark was totally wrong!
• Should've stretched the shoes a second time, the first time around didn't cut it! Thank goodness I was able to take the shoes off at the party.
• Now I wasn't joking when I said this would be pic heavy, if this isn't your cup of tea, then don't read any further :P
• Running late as always, but I found time to take a few pics (doesn't help hubby is so much taller than me, I look sooo tiny)

Weekend Haul

A couple weeks ago I was at Burlington Coat Factory & Ulta for more xmas gifts and picked up a couple items for me :) I couldn't say no to the bargains!

I picked up the liners due to rave reviews on tons of blogs, let's see if they live up to the hype on my oily/watery eyes! I'm most interested to see how the HIP eyeliner works on my waterline, I've never found anything to actually stay longer than an hour! Any recommendations, ladies?

ELF Studio Brush Daily Cleaner & Shampoo Review

I have used the following two products for the last two weeks.

Daily Brush Cleaner

FYI-I purchased two of these Daily Brush Cleaners and one of them came leaking, the other wasn't.

Pros: Does the job for just about anything you would put on your brushes. I had trouble cleaning my lip brush used for my MAC Angel, nor the Daily Brush Cleaner or the Brush Shampoo cleaned it (at all). Cons: The fruity scent, I don't mind it much, but I have a good feeling it would be too much for most people (it's quite intense). All you have to do is spray the brush about 4 times and then you wipe the brush on a towel and lay it out to dry, it dries pretty fast (depending on the brush obviously).

Brush Shampoo

Pros: Cleans my e/s brushes in one wash. Cons: I can't say washing my brushes once with this shampoo cleaned my brushes completely, it probably took 2 or 3 separate washes to completely clean my brushes, I think I'll stick to using normal shampoo =/. Best way to use this is to first wet the brush, take a quarter sized amount of shampoo on your hand or in a glass bowl (that's what I use) and you just work the brush into the shampoo then rinse. Repeat if needed.

Both items cost $3, so they're quite affordable. I know I'll go back for the Daily Brush Cleaner, I doubt I'll go back for the Shampoo.

I know...my bday was a month ago!

Hello my lovelies, just got back from shopping @ Leesburg Premium Outlets and Tysons Corner Mall, oh my gosh, talk about packed!!! Haul to come later!

Anyways, I know it's uber late, but here's a short recap of my bday last month :)

Here are a few pics from my bday night with some of my closest friends and my best friend, my husband.

Hair: Conair foam rollers and Tresseme 24 Hr Hair Spray (curls fell so quickly, it was raining on our way to the club! ughhhh)

Makeup: Don't remember all of it, I know I'm wearing a favorite lippie, Rimmel 006 Pink Blush/Champagne & I'm wearing a few different ELF Mineral eyeshadows (one of which is Socialite, loooove) (which so far are a million times better than the ELF Studio one's I just received, grrr, reviews coming!)

Dress: Bebe (1st Bday gift)

Tights: Jessica Simpson

Shoes: Jessica Simpson (so not intentional to match designers)
Necklace (stuck in my boob section, grrrr): Saks Fifth Avenue

I know this is a mortal sin...my enlarged pores! But it's the best eyeshadow shot I have =/ and yes, I have eyelashes the refuse to curl UP, I've used everything, and I mean everything to get em to stand up!! :-P

 

All in all, it was a great evening considering it was raining!! Last year George got us a table at a club, I opted out this year, don't know why, I wasn't in the mood, we may do it next year :)

The next day George had a surprise for me, tehehe, I was quite hungover...this is why I hate drinking on my bday, people try to get you hurt =]~ He surprised me with a Spirit Cruise!!!

 (it was freeeeeeezing!!!!) I <3 DC!! (My Stuart Weitzman boots held up pretty well to the weather!)

Then 2 days later on my actual birthday, hubby and I had a few people over for food :)

I was pooped, forgive the exhaustion!!

Then I got my last gift from my babes...the Wii and the Wii fit!!!

According to Wii, I'm older than I actually am, so I'm out of shape! New workout routine begins on 12/1, I hope I can keep up with the posts, it's going to take up so much of my time (daily). Ever heard of it, p90x? Hubby and I will do our best to finish it through!

All in all, my hubby always surprises me at least once and out does him self. I love you honey bunny!!
