So my bestie turned 27 and we celebrated by going to a bar called Union Jacks (funny thing is I work and live so close to it and never went!) here are the shots!

As you can see in the collage, a bouncer started shutting the glass doors closed, people boooo'd him and he reopened it :)

You'll also see a chick trying to copy his show, EPIC FAIL! No one cared for her, she couldn't imitate Michael Jackson if her life depended on it!

She actually went up to dance on the speaker!!! I don't recall doing this very often!!

Here is one of the xmas gifts I didn't post and let me say, I loooooove this set! I use it everyday :) and I love the new moisture rich formula, they aren't kidding, the moisture factor has been kicked up a notch!

My commute this morning was DIVINE, sent from the heavens!

The music on 99.5 was awesome!! I was loving Cascada's "Evacuate the dance floor" jam!

My breakfast (rest assured, I did pair it with my long time drink since high school, a caramel macchiato)...come to think of it, I still haven't finished the bread, lol, but it tastes great! I love it <3

I really don't know what my cat was looking at, he was staring like it was gonna attack him and he needed to be as still as possible...so strange!

I heart DC, my lovely bloggers & shopping

Upon hearing of possible snow accumulation again last week, a lovely blogger, Miss P, contacted me to find out if it was just hype or the accumulation was for real. I told her nothing in DC is for sure, it could be rain, it could be a blizzard, as Friday crept closer, it looked less and less likely that any accumulation would occur in the DMV (DC, Maryland, VA). She purchased her tickets at a bargain! I need to find me some Miami tickets with her agent! I was so very excited she'd be coming up here and I couldn't wait to meet her! She called me Saturday and she was up early! I had just rolled out of bed when she called me, I rushed my butt to get out the door and meet her! If anyone know's DC, you never know how long it takes to get anywhere, traffic an be as clear as a whistle or as congested as Manhattan (and worse)! I arrived @ Tysons and there was no parking! I'm the kinda gal that never finds parking, I always find the 3/4 sized parking spot with vomit on the drivers side of the spot, haha. I arrived @ Neisha Thai and immediately recognized her (by the back of her pretty head of hair) and before I got too nervous, ran to her table to introduce myself to her and her two gf's! Miss P is a tall glass of sunshine, I loved every moment hanging with the girls, we roamed the mall walking in and out of stores, our favorite trip (at least mines) was to Lush, I was helped by the manager, Evan, she's quite helpful, so see her inside Tyson's (not Galleria)  on the 2nd floor by Macy's.

. Miss P was kind enough to post a couple pics of the Lush and me paying for my Lush goodies! Please check her blog out, I was deeply inspired by her and just a couple other bloggers to continue blogging (when I thought my blog would only be a couple posts long, ever, lol). So let me get to the pictures, that's what you all want to see!

When did you become a make up junkie?

apetitediva: Watching my mom put on her red lipstick everyday.

That's too cute! Are you also a red lipstick wearer?

apetitediva:  Yes, I am red lipstick wearer!

 What brands are currently your "staple?"

apetitediva:  On a daily, MAC, NYX, shu uemura, eco tools, mary kay, loreal, mark

I love the fact that you don't only use high end products! What is your favorite l'oreal product?

apetitediva:  Lineur Intense felt tip liquid eyeliner

Ahh! So that's how you get your liner so perfect! I have for the girl's out there..What foundation do you use and do you have any tips?

apetitediva:  Tips: for a perfect airbrushed foundation finish, use a stippler brush and make sure you set it with a powder. I recommend finding a microdermabrasion systemthat works for you and use it 2-4 per month. I use Mary Kay's Microdermabrasion set. Also, moisturize twice daily (even if you have oily skin). My hg foundation is MAC's Studio Fix Fluid in NW30, but recently I've been loving Revlon's PhotoReady in 006, I still don't have a final verdict on it, all I can say for now is your skin cannot have any dry skin patches, it will show, but I can say the same with MAC, so exfoliate please.

These girls better be taking notes! I've never tried microdermabrasion, why is it important to you?

apetitediva:  We all want an even complexion, besides drinking water and avoiding sugar, microdermabrasion is the next best way to clear it up. Microdermabrasion will help unclog pores and remove the surfaces accumulated dead skin cells. It'll also promote your surface skin cells to renew and increase collagen production. It's safer than chemical peels and a lot of people can't handle that.

Great information! Now I know why you have amazing skin! Do you have any advice for newbies in the beauty community?

apetitediva:  First off, makeup isn't necessary to be beautiful. Trust me I walk around w/out makeup some days and I'm still confident in my beauty. I'll be honest, reading blogs, watching youtube videos and qvc/hsn are great resources. I love shopping at Nordstrom & Sephora b/c of their lax return policy, so if a new product doesn't work for me, I can go back, explain my issue and a sales associate will help me pick up what's right. Don't ever be afraid to ask for help from a sales associate.
